This is a photo of me and my 2 year old son, Alexej, in front of the sweat lodge I built this year (by the looks of me, I need some serious time in the lodge sweating off about 40 pounds). Alexej stuffed a blowup "carrot" in his shirt to imitate "Dad". It's not a flattering picture of me, but Ni-go-di-s-ge-s-di, that's just the way it is. My father was of European ancestry and was an attorney (he died in 2000 of cancer), my mother a Cherokee Indian. My mother lives in Corrales, New Mexico near the Santa Anna Indian Reservation.
