The story about self-interest doesn't make much sense in light of the later part of the talk. Because tech is non-rivalrous, contributing isn't necessary for self-interest. All it actually seems to measure is the size of the network, since the proportion any one person can contribute shrinks as the other people building it grows. AaronSw 14:45, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
