wikiHow is a collaborative writing project aiming to build the world's largest how-to manual. Our mission is to provide useful instructions to help people solve the problems of everyday life. When the site launched in January 2005 it initially attracted only 2500 readers in the first month, but it has grown very quickly since then. It now receives over 1.1 million unique readers per month, potentially making it one of the widely read wikis outside the Wikimedia websites. wikiHow was born out of eHow, which is a large professionally written and edited website with proprietary copyright policies.
